Judge Expedites DC Property Tax Lawsuit

Today the Washington Examiner reported a story that adds to the week's news about the alleged financial misdeeds of the District government. On Wednesday a class action lawsuit that claims the city deliberately over-assessed over 45,000 DC homeowners (in 2002) has been moved forward by a DC Superior Court judge. Despite the judge finding the property tax assessments in question "arbitrary and capricious", the city plans to appeal.
